This policy explains what personal information Haulr collects when you request a junk removal quote, why we collect it, who we share it with and how to have it deleted. It applies to this website and to our lead forms on Facebook and Instagram. It follows Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
"We", "us" and "our" mean Haulr, serving Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
What we collect
When you fill in one of our forms, we collect the information you choose to give us:
- your name;
- your phone number and email address;
- your city or address, so we know where the job is;
- details of the job — what needs removing, roughly how much, when and any notes you add.
If you use a Facebook or Instagram lead form, Meta may pre-fill some of these fields from your profile. You can edit them before you submit. Our website also records basic technical information (such as the page you submitted from) and our hosting provider processes standard request data such as IP addresses for security.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to your request: to call, text or email you, give you a quote, schedule the pickup and follow up about the job. We do not use it for anything else without asking you first, and we will only send marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Who we share it with
To fulfil your job, we may share your contact details and job details with a service partner — a local junk removal crew that does the pickup on our behalf. They receive only what they need to quote and complete your job, and may use it only for that purpose.
We also use service providers to run our business, such as our form provider, email provider and website host. Some of them store data outside Canada, mainly in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We will disclose information if we are legally required to, for example by a court order.
We do not sell your data
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.
Advertising and analytics
We advertise on Facebook and Instagram and may use the Meta pixel and Google Analytics on this site to measure how our ads and pages perform. These tools use cookies and similar technologies. You can control ad personalisation in your Meta ad preferences and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to handle your job and any follow-up, and delete enquiries that do not turn into a job within 24 months. Some records, such as invoices, may need to be kept longer for tax purposes.
Your rights — access, correction and deletion
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, withdraw your consent, or have it deleted. Call us at (647) 641-6881. We will respond within 30 days, and if we have shared your details with a service partner we will ask them to delete them too. There is no charge.
If you are not satisfied with how we handle your privacy, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
